The Peak of Participation Austria

We had 52 people from all over the US. on this trip to Kitzbuhel... There were a couple of reasons why there were many people.  First, the trip was scheduled for the President's Holiday timeframe in February and the second, I had a good Web presence at www.skitrips.org and many people signed up via the web.  Once we arrived at Kitz, we were hammered with about 3 feet of snow throughout the week. My ski buddy's from CT actually made it as well, so the week was great fun.  It never stopped snowing.

A few outstanding trip memories occured in Kitz, the mock wedding was the highlight, the Jager at the tyrolian festival, men's club, dirty dan, Hahnzi, trading shirts, shells in the rabbit, beer on the slopes, knee deep powder, mimosa's in the a.m., 2 separate hotels, great company, hotel miscounts, hofbrauhause, Munich, rock star, boot beers at the londonder... the list goes on...

The saddest part of the trip was leaving, seeing blue sky's with all that snow in the rear view mirror.   We took a great side trip from Kitz to Salzberg one day and visited the great town.  The end of the trip ended with a weekend in Munich.  This also was a great time but I still couldn't help but remember how much snow was left behind.

Highlights of the week include:

kitz: snow, snow, mock wedding, party in rooms, sausage at midnight, 4 a.m. evenings, ct. crew surprise, glockenspiel, casino, first night bender w\ Kevin, dj'ing, dancin'...
