This would be the last trip that my dad would put together. The trips are a lot of work and interest has fallen off since 9/11 and the war. There where 5 people that did go to Davos though.
Once we arrived in Davos via train service from Zurich (3hours), we were in the great resort town. Our hotel was a bit out of the way from the lifts. BC\Szabo\JS\Jason\and Alex enjoyed the good food at the hotel. Davos was good but skiing near Klosters was better.
Highlights of the week include:
Davos: Good skiing, great on slope eats, seeing Szabo on sled from gondi, Klosters, Szabo doing Wolfgang trail (twice), hiking up to Hotel top of Davos, partying first day watching some sort of ski competition, long trails open to base of Davos and Klosters, taking trains\buses around Davos\Klosters, hockey playoff game Davos vs. Bern (jason seeing Joe Thornton although he didn't play that night), Casino, ski museum in heart of Davos, davos dorf, klouster f*ck, hiking next to the Weissfluhjoch (suppose to be "day off"), great lunch on top of Davos, vast cruising on top of Parsenn,
Verbier: BC and I were the only ones staying 2 weeks. We arrived from Train ride from Davos to Verbier via the Martigny to Le Chable. From there we got on a great bus ride up the traversing hillside. Our apartment was great and on the bus route to Verb., we also found a great restaurant which we went to 3 nights in "old" village, buses were consistent and logistics around were great, helicopter loosing it's load, BC falling due to spacial disorientation, bad fog, big moguls, Easter holiday (poor planning), good eats and fun bars, apre outside checking out skateboard ripper, people watching, sparse sun, some good powder was found.
